The standard 3.6-liter V-6 engine is a powerful and potent powertrain. But other than the base engine, RAM also offers a variety of other engines for 1500 that include a 5.7-liter V-8 that puts out 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, the same 5.7-liter V-8 with an eTorque mild-hybrid system that adds up to 130 pound-feet of torque, a 3.0-liter V-6 Diesel engine that produces 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque, and a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that shoots out 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque offered in the RAM 1500 TRX which is sold as a separate standalone model.
While the base trim comes with synthetic leather and cloth upholstery, the higher trims improve the interior with genuine leather upholstered seats, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front, and rear seats, front-row captain's chairs with a center console, and heated steering wheel. The base 1500 is equipped with a five-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity and a six-speaker sound system. The higher trims level up the features with an 8.4-inch or a 12-inch touch screen, dual-zone automatic climate control, satellite radio, single- or dual-pane sunroof, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD Radio, navigation, wireless device charging, a Wi-Fi hot spot, multiple upgraded stereo choices, and additional USB ports.
Other than all the impressive powertrain offerings and features, the RAM 1500 also comes with a concrete set of safety features.
